A remake of his 2010 Telugu film Vedam, the film features an ensemble cast of Silambarasan, Bharath, Anushka Shetty, Prakash Raj and Saranya.[2][3] The score and soundtrack of the film are composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, while cinematography and editing are handled by Nirav Shah and Anthony Gonsalves, respectively. The story revolves around five characters, representing the five natural elements - sky, air, water, fire and earth.[4][5][6] The film, jointly produced by Ganesh Janardhanan and R. Ganesh and distributed by Dayanidhi Azhagiri's Cloud Nine Movies, was released on April 29, 2011,[7] and received critical acclaim Cable Raja (Silambarasan) who lives in Chennai, is a happy-go-lucky cable guy who makes a rollicking entrance.Together with his friends, Seenu (Santhanam) and Ganesh (Ganesh Janardhanan), Raja roams the streets, connects cables and is also desperate to make money, so he can gain passes for a certain premier event. His girlfriend Priya (Jasmin Bhasin) is stinking rich, and the only way to gain her family's consent is to play the rich boyfriend himself.
